The Road to Paris Runs Through AAU

With over 200 #AAUAlum representing Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics, we could not be prouder. AAU Alumni, AAU Sullivan Award Winners and Finalists are on full display in Paris.


AAU Sullivan Award winner, Simone Biles (91st Winner in 2020), and AAU Sullivan Award Finalist, Jordan Chiles (Sullivan Finalist in 2023) have added silver and bronze medals to their collections at the 2024 Paris Olympics!

It's one for AAU and one for the United States! AAU Track and Field Alumni, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, runs away with the Gold medal in the Women's 400m hurdles! One of the greatest in the sport continues to add to her legacy as she became the first woman in history to win two gold medals in the 400m hurdles.

Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone not only won the gold, but also broke her own world record as she set herself apart from the rest of the sport. She has become the first track athlete ever to break six world records in the same event!


It's one for AAU and one for the United States! The USA Women's 3x3 Basketball team has captured the bronze medal in Paris. A roster completely made up of AAU Alum!

Dearica Hamby, Cierra Burdick, Hailey Van Lith, and Rhyne Howard bring home the bronze for Team USA! After starting slow, the team would rally to earn their spot on the podium.


It's one for AAU and one for the United States! AAU Alumni Sha'Carri Richardson has gone from the AAU Junior Olympic Games to taking home a silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics!

Sha'Carri took down the competition in the 100m race at the 2016 AAU Junior Olympic Games in Houston. Now, she's competing on the biggest stage! 


It's one for AAU and one for the United States! 85th AAU Sullivan Award Finalist Katie Ledecky (2014), WINS GOLD & sets a new OLYMPIC RECORD in the 1500m freestyle in Paris representing the USA.


Fred Richard (right) was joined on the podium by Asher Hong, Brody Malone, Paul Juda, and Stephen Nedoroscik. For the first time in 16 years, the Men's Gymnastics team brought home a medal as they earned Bronze. Each athlete had a clutch performance in the team final with Fred Richard capturing our hearts on the high bar!

Gabby Thomas may have even shocked herself when she won in front of the world! Thomas pulled away down the back stretch and finally conquered the Women's 200m final as she earns her long awaited Gold medal at the Paris Olympics.

Grant Holloway and Daniel Roberts went one and two as they took home Gold and Silver in the Men's 110m Hurdles. With a tight finish, both men ran an amazing race and will bring home some extra hardware from Paris.

Cole Hocker came from the middle of the pack and made a late push on the inside to took home the Gold medal in the Men's 1500m race! As if that wasn't enough, Hocker also set a new OLYMPIC RECORD on his way to the top of the podium.

With one pool play game left to be played, let's showcase the AAU Alumni representing us in Field Hockey! 17 out of 30 members of Team USA are #AAUAlum! 


Faith Dillon will represent in the featherweight 57kg division. Dillon has Grand Prix championships and Pan American medals. But now she has her sights set on the Olympic Podium!


Jonathan Healy joins the team as a well decorated athlete in the sport. Healy was an AAU National Team member and won an AAU National Championship in 2014. Since then he has added Pan American gold in 2019 and silver in 2023. Now he looks to add an Olympic medal to the collection.


CJ Nickolas debuts in the Olympics as a three-time Pan American Champion and the 2023 Worlds silver medalist. Nickolas enters the games as the highest ranked US athlete, ranking number 3 in the world in the men's 80kg division. He is now prepared to live up to the hype in front of the world at the Olympics.


Kristina Teachout is the team's youngest competitor at just 18 years old. After shocking the Taekwondo world by defeating Olympic champion, Anastasija Zolotic, Teachout had an incredible 2023 season. With medals at the Pan American Games, World Grand Prix, Dominican Open and more, she is ready for the biggest stage of her young career.


Spencer Lee joins as a first-time Olympian and is prepared to make his mark! Lee is a Pan American Champion, World Champion, AAU Sullivan Award Winner, and now he is ready to add Olympic medalist to his list of accolades. 


Kyle Snyder took home a silver medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics and captured gold in 2016. Now the leader for Team USA Wrestling, he is ready to step back on to the top spot on the podium in Paris and bring home Gold again in the 97kg division.
