NY's Cape City Kings & Batter Up from Haverhill, MA Take Titles at AAU Wood Bat Warm Up Classic
AAU Baseball hosted its annual warm up Wood Bat tournament prior to the start of the NEAAU 15-16u Summer League. Hosted at both Rhode Island College and Slater Park in Pawtucket, RI, the event welcomed first time participates and competitive games. There is nothing like the sound of baseball played with wood bats.
Congratulations to our first timers and 16u Champions, the Cap City Kings from the Albany, NY area. We also congratulate the Batter Up squad from Northern, Massachusetts on winning the 15u age Division. Almost the entire Batter Up roster were members of the 10u Shoemakers team that won the 10u Open Division League in 2014. It was great seeing former League Champions grown and continuing to play the game at a high level.
Thank you all teams for choosing the AAU Wood Bat Classic in 2019. We hope to see you at another tournament in 2019.
