WHAT is the NEAAU CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES?

 The NEAAU Championship Series (NCS) is an exciting, new collection of Boys 13-16U basketball designed to improve the AAU competitive experience in New England. The NCS consists of two (2) qualifying tournaments, one (1) Series Championships and a new NEAAU Power Ranking System.

Teams will acquire power ranking points at each of the first three (2) events that will determine eligibility for the NCS finale, the NCS Championships.

Following the conclusion of the NCS Event #2, the top 16 power ranked teams will qualify for NCS Championships. More events may be added to the NCS in 2011!

POWER RANKING STRUCTURE
Event Registration -25pts (register and earn points)
Pool Play Win -50pts (3 pool play games per event)
Quarterfinal Win -150pts (Bracket Play)
Semifinal Win -300pts (Bracket Play)
Final Win -450pts (Bracket Play)
QUALIFY for NCS FINALE
If you wish to qualify for the NCS Championship and become eligible to win a FREE 2010 AAU National Championship Bid your team will need to do the following:
#1 Must play in either NCS #1 or NCS #2 (PLAY BOTH!)
#2 Finish in Top 16 in Power Rankings after NCS #1 and NCS #2 are complete
* if finish first NCS #1 or NCS #2 your team qualifies for NCs Championships
 
FREE National Championship Bid FREE NATIONAL AAU CHAMPIOSNHIP BID

First place winners at the NCS Championships, will receive a FREE National AAU Boys Basketball Championship bid in 2010. Space is limited in some NCS events so register early!

Your family and friends can't attend? No problem. All NCS tournaments will be video streamed LIVE on NEAAU.org. Live video stream not available on all courts.
 
NCS Trophies and Awards TROPHIES & AWARDS
1st & 2nd place trophies awarded at each event. Series Championship winner have team name engraved on Series Trophy. Team with Most Series Power Ranking Points will received award.
