MIKE CROTTY INDUCTED into NEAAU HOF

APRIL 21, 2010 | 5:02pm

Just a few weeks ago the New England AAU lost a important figure, a vital contributor and a long time friend. On February 2, 2010 the Middlesex Magic's Mike Crotty passed away and left a hole in the heart of NEAAU Basketball, but left us one of the most respected and successful AAU Basketball organizations in New England.

On April 17th at the 15-17U Super Regional tournament in Foxboro, MA the NEAAU recognized Mike's contributions and commitment to AAU Basketball as it inducted him into the NEAAU Sports Hall of Fame. Excepting the hall of fame honors was Mike's wife, brother and son who is continuing the family's Middlesex Magic family tradition.

NEAAU President Ed Skovron (not pictured), Mark Papas (pictured above) and John Kottori (pictured above) presented the award. The Hall of Fame ceremony was conducted during halftime at the Middlesex Magic's thrilling quarterfinal win over the Boston Warriors. Mike Crotty Jr. lead the Magic to the championship game and win over Mass Premier. See pictures
