GIRLS BASKETBALL

BOSTON SHOWSTOPPERS WIN DII NATIONALS

In their third year as a program, but just their first year with a 10u (5th) grade team, the young hard working women of the Boston Showstoppers have triumphed as CHAMPIONS while representing Massachusetts in the AAU National Championship in Orlando, Florida.

Despite their struggles to gather the expenses to afford all fifteen players to enjoy the once in a life time experience, the young women made the week long journey a remarkable one. To make the experience that much greater the young women gave retribution back to Boston having beat out a very talented team from California; so Boston in fact did "Beat LA".

On May 30, 2009 RI Breaker's Bill Coughlin was inducted into the NEAAU Sports Hall of Fame. Induction ceremony held at the University of Rhode island.
