15U DEFENSE
WINS MASS PREMIER SHOOTOUT

The South Shore Defense 15U
basketball team, a first-year team
based out of Plymouth, MA won the
Mass Premier Boy’s Shootout
Tournament in May. “We started
the year with some tough, close
loses, but the team has really come
together in the second half of our
season and has since learned how to
win the close ones”, says Coach Joe
Camirand. “We have been
competitive and in virtually every
game all season, but we let a few
leads and close games slip away
early on. I knew that once we
committed fully to playing defense
and trusting our teammates to make
plays, we would start pulling those
games out. I am now seeing all
of their hard work pay off and we
have won eight of our last ten
games.”
