MARAUDERS RETURN from
WINTER TRAINING

The Granite State
Marauders returned from their annual winter
training workouts in Tampa, Florida
this past Tuesday January 12th.
This year the
Marauders took 31 players and 7 coaches to
this 4 day training event.
All Players
participated in morning and afternoon
training sessions each day.
Each two and a
half hour session consisted of fielding
drills, defensive coverages, batting
instruction and physical conditioning.
Pitchers and catchers also received
specialized instruction in their respective
positions.

“We are very proud of
being able to provide this training to our
players” commented Dan McNeel, President of
the Marauders organization.
“Being able to
step on a grass baseball field in the middle
of January and conduct a full workout is a
big deal for us.”

Over twelve
other family members accompanied the
Marauders players during this event.
Marauders players,
Drew Sanborn and Ryan Linehan won the
Marauders Spirit Award given by the coaching
staff to the players that best represented
the Marauders core values of Service Before
Self, Excellence in all We Do and Integrity
First.

Marauders completed
their training by playing a scrimmage game
at Joe DiMaggio Baseball Complex in
Clearwater, the spring training home of the
Philadelphia Phillies.
“We are
already planning next year’s trip” said Juan
Gaud, Vice-President of Baseball Operations
for the Marauders.
The Granite State
Marauders are a non-profit baseball
organization based in Manchester, New
Hampshire.
